Centrality of the patient, meritocracy, teamwork, international relations. Impossible not to remember Mario Campanacci, the Maestro, with these words of his, still today reference points for those who worked with him and for those who animate the Rizzoli Orthopedic Institute.
But Professor Campanacci was not just a great surgeon. His life experiences, his thoughts, he expressed them and also told through various forms of art, such as poetry, drawing, painting. This exhibition, set up on the occasion of the Campanacci Memorial, 20 years after the Professor's death, wants to be a way to celebrate and honor his legacy, giving the visitor the opportunity to discover and touch even the most personal aspects of his life up close. Orthopedic enthusiast and anatomo-pathologist, innovator of oncological orthopedics, man of faith, the great Master lives today thanks to his writings and to those who knew him.
