Guido Nasta

Studies
  • Graduated in Classical Studies in 1982 at the "Vittorino da Feltre" Institute in Genoa. 
  • On 29/6/1990 he graduated in Medicine and Surgery from the University of Genoa with full marks.
  • After graduation he enrolled in the School of Specialization in Orthopedics and Traumatology of the University of Genoa which he attended since November 1990 to June 1995; on 26/6/1995 he obtained the Specialization in Orthopedics and Traumatology with a grade of 50/50 cum laude discussing the thesis The coupling of biomaterials in hip arthroplasty. 
  • He carried out his professional training by regularly attending the Orthopedic Clinic of the University of Genoa first under the direction of Prof. Ernesto AGRIFOGLIO and since 1993 under that of Prof. Francesco PIPINO. 
  • In 1995 he was awarded a scholarship from the Piedmontese Ligurian Lombard Society of Orthopedics and Traumatology. 
  • In 1996 he was the winner of a scholarship from the Italian Society of Orthopedics and Traumatology.
 
Professional activity 
  • He carried out periods of activity and specialization in Italy and abroad: from November 1992 to November 1993 he attended the Center Hospitalier Regional de Marseille (France) - Hopital NORD- service de Chirurgie Orthopedique et Traumatologie directed by Prof. DG POITOUT. 
  • From 15 to 30 July 1995 he attended THE CHRIST HOSPITAL - Cincinnati -OHIO- U.S.A. directed by Prof. E. MILLER. 
  • from October 1996 to January 1997 he attended, as a fellow, the Rizzoli Orthopedic Institutes of Bologna - VII Div. directed by Prof. A. GIUNTI. 
  • in the period January / February of 1997 and 1998 he attended, as an unpaid volunteer doctor, the NORTH KINANGOP CATHOLC HOSPITAL (Kenya) for a series of visits and surgeries in favor of handicapped children. 
  • From May to August 1997 he served as 1st Level Medical Director at the Operative Unit of Orthopedics and Traumatology of the Hospital of Gallarate (VA). 
  • From July 1998 to April 2000 he served as 1st Level Medical Director at the Orthopedics and Traumatology Unit of the Sestri Levante Hospital (GE). Until 2002 he was Medical Director of the Rugby Bologna 1929 sports club. 
  • From April 2000 to September 2010 he worked as Level I Medical Director at the TRAUMACENTER Orthopedics and Traumatology Unit of the MAGG Hospital IORE of Bologna. 
  • Since September 2010 he carries out hospital activities at the Accredited Private Hospitals Villa Erbosa in Bologna and Domus Nova in Ravenna. He is a member of several Scientific Societies including SIOT, EFORT, AO Alumni Association, COXA. 
  • He participated as a speaker at numerous congresses in Italy and abroad and has published several articles in specialized Italian journals.
